Basic visit measurement

We count approved public-page visits and estimate daily visitors even before a cookie choice or after analytics cookies are declined. Our server temporarily combines the request IP address and browser User-Agent using a random key unique to this site and Beijing calendar day. This does not add cookies or browser storage. The raw IP address and User-Agent are not stored by this measurement system. Temporary deduplication records are encrypted; the key expires at the end of that day, and application cleanup removes expired records. Provider backups may retain encrypted records for their retention period. Historical reports contain only aggregate counts. This estimates browser/network combinations, not exact people: shared networks can merge visitors, and network or browser changes can split one visitor. Cookie-based analytics and optional recordings continue to follow your cookie choice.

Marked internal tests and verified bots are excluded. Unmarked historical tests cannot always be identified. Daily estimates are independent for each site and day; we do not use them to track people across days or sites.

Aggregate reports are retained for up to 365 days. This supplement updates the basic cookieless measurement section of our privacy policy.
